Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 January 2026

Acceptance

By using the portal you agree to these terms and to act lawfully and in good faith in all chamber, marketplace and investment activities.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to legally constituted entities — public institutions and companies, private companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and investment funds — that are lawfully able to engage in trade and investment activity. Each entity must be represented by an authorised individual who provides their full name, email and phone number. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate, current and complete registration information. CCAM may verify your entity and decline or revoke membership where eligibility or supporting information cannot be confirmed.

Membership & verification

Privileged roles (seller, service provider, business agent, investor) are subject to chamber review and approval. Provide accurate information; misrepresentation may result in suspension.

4. Member obligations & acceptable use

You agree to keep your entity and representative details accurate and up to date, to safeguard your login credentials, and to use the Portal only for lawful business purposes. You must not: misrepresent your identity, entity or offerings; post fraudulent, infringing, misleading or unlawful content; misuse other members' data or contact details; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Portal; or interfere with its security or operation. CCAM may remove content and restrict accounts that breach these rules.

Marketplace & transactions

The chamber facilitates connections and may charge commissions on transactions. Parties are responsible for their own contracts, deliveries and compliance.

6. Payments, billing & refunds

Membership fees and other charges are processed securely through Millennium bim OpenIzi, which supports mobile payment methods including eMola and mPESA. By submitting a payment you authorise the applicable charge in MZN. Invoices and receipts are available in your account. Except where required by Mozambican law, membership fees are non-refundable once a billing period has begun; the 30-day trial lets you evaluate the Portal before any charge. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us within 30 days and we will review the charge in good faith.

7. Suspension & termination

You may cancel your membership at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. CCAM may suspend or terminate access — with or without notice depending on severity — where there is non-payment, a breach of these terms, fraudulent or unlawful activity, or a risk to other members or the chamber. On termination your right to use the Portal ends, though certain records may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy and as required by law.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Portal and chamber services are provided "as is" and "as available". CCAM does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation and is not responsible for the conduct, solvency, products or services of any member. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CCAM is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business arising from your use of the Portal, and our aggregate liability is limited to the membership fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mozambique. The parties will seek to resolve any dispute amicably; failing that, disputes are subject to the competent courts of Maputo, Mozambique, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you.

10. Changes to these terms

CCAM may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, where changes are material, notify members through the Portal or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
